Business Director Specialist

The Business Director Specialist will be responsible for supporting the operations team with the onboarding and training of new Business Directors as well as fill in and provide support to community business office operations. This position will be responsible for training and mentoring Business Directors at the community level as well as ensuring current processes are being followed while training and developing new processes as needed. Business Director responsibilities include accounting, human resources, and business office activity (accounts receivable, accounts payable, rent roll, and payroll).

Position details:

  • Location: Travel to communities in TX, OK, AL, and FL
  • City, State: Primarily Fort Worth, TX

Responsibilities: 

  • Onboard and train new Business Directors
  • Fill in during Business Director vacancies
  • Ensure policies and procedures for business office are implemented and followed
  • Identify and assist with resolving potential issues or inefficiencies 
  • Assist with Business Director responsibilities including:
    • AP and AR for the community
    • Maintaining associate files and assisting with new hire paperwork
    • Generate resident statements and maintain accounts
    • Generate payroll semi-monthly and maintain PTO records for all associates
    • Operate department within budget
    • Assist management team including Executive Director and Home Office staff
    • Perform administrative functions in support of the Executive Director
    • Address resident concerns in regards to bills and accounts
    • Supervise front desk staff
    • Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned when filling Business Director vacancy
    • Work with management and department heads to market and manage the community

 

Skills/Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years successful experience as a Business Director in senior housing
  • Strong AP/AR and payroll experience required
  • Experience in HR duties and associate benefits
  • Property Management software a plus but not a requirement
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language and be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members
