The Covenant Group is a leading developer and operator of independent living and assisted living communities for Senior Adults.

We currently have great opportunity for a Financial Analyst in our Accounting/Finance Department.

This position will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and projections. This position will also have broad access to operational and financial executives to gain a unique understanding of the key operational and financial indicators for successful communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

'         Generate complex reporting and analytics for both, the construction and management companies.

'         Collect and Analyze data to initiate, recommend, and develop operational and financial models to improve overall performance at each community.

'         Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

'         Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs and collecting operational data. Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.

'         Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.

'         Actively identify and lead the development of high impact value-added analysis on business drivers, trends, and risk/opportunities by utilizing both internal and external data.

'         Support company-wide efforts in budgeting, projections, rate increases, price analysis, labor analysis and other ad hoc projects.

'         Develop and maintain quality scorecards for community performance.

'         Evaluate and build ad-hoc reports using Sage Timberline and Real page Onesite software programs. Use data from Sage Timberline and Real page Onesite to analyze information in Excel and other software tools.

Skills/ Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance.  If out of school less than 2 years, the ideal candidate will have had at a minimum, a 3.0 G.P.A.  This individual must be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, able to build actionable reports and clearly communicate the findings from analysis to the executive team.

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance

'         1 or more years' experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis.

'         Accounting/GAAP knowledge

'         Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)

'         Excellent Communication skills

'         Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills

'         Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical

'         Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

'         Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

This position will generally work during the hours of 8:00 and 5:00 p.m. Monday ' Friday.  There may be times when additional hours will be required due to business needs.
