The Art Director/Marketing Designer is responsible for clever, crafty and unique ideas from concept to completion. You will be creating and designing excellence in marketing and advertising materials to represent the brand of Sagora Senior Living and all of its 36 unique community brands in traditional and digital media channels. The goal of this role is to work in a fast-paced business environment and challenge your design-savvy team to devise better results in a shorter amount of time.

  • Design marketing efforts that reflect the Sagora Senior Living brand and style guidelines across all Sagora communities while bringing fresh and creative ideas to 36 unique community brands
  • With direction from the marketing & sales leaders, develop compelling visual designs for traditional media, social media and web content as well as custom collateral and special promotional materials
  • Generate clear ideas and concepts with input from multiple associates
  • Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
  • Manage and delegate design responsibilities to other designers and provide direction and feedback
  • Present completed ideas in a nice package for internal and external review
  • Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices




  • Proven portfolio as Art Director with management experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on marketing and design experience with logo design, typography (extra points with this one!), color, web layout, print production, photographic image selection and template variations
  • Senior housing or related hospitality field preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and highly skilled with Adobe CS (InDesign,Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of sales and marketing concepts to include principles and methods for promoting, and selling products and/or services
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and tactics and project workflow
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining multiple brands and public image through creative concept marketing
  • Experience with managing budgets
  • Ability to manage and delegate resources for multiple projects and workflow in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines
  • Knowledge of Google analytics, strategic SEO design and Hubspot required
  • Must have the ability to work well under stress, complete assignments accurately, work independently, and manage time effectively
  • High degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop associates
  • Strong management skills and be ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Creative and out-of-the-box thinker should be evident in portfolio
